A picture of Mary Blendermann, a white person with short brown hair who is smiling and wearing a blue button-down shirt.

Hi, I’m Mary! It’s nice to meet you!

I am a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at the University of Pittsburgh, where I moved after working as a lab manager at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. I grew up in Maryland, learning jazz piano from my dad and training my dog to jump over things in a local 4-H club. When not wrangling data or seeing therapy clients, I am frequently sighted bicycling around town, throwing poems at open mics, and teaching and DJing at social dance events. You can also find me reading books, trying new recipes, and wandering around embodying the spirit of traditional French flâneurs, or “idle gossiping saunterers.” If only.
